NTT DATA Federal Services, Inc. currently seeks an Forensic Accountant - Mid to join our team in Pentagon City, VA.

Position Functions or Responsibilities: Job Description
Candidate will have the mission of enforcing the controlled substances laws and regulations of the United States and recommend and support non-enforcement programs aimed at reducing the availability of illicit controlled substances on the domestic and international markets. The complex nature of the work requires an acute understanding of how to conduct a financial investigation, and the ability to efficiently assess, extract and prioritize actionable intelligence from large amounts of raw data.

Job Duties
More than 3 years of relevant experience and shall be required to:
  • Demonstrate knowledge of procedures and techniques as generally prescribed under American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) disciplines.
  • Solve problems independently by following accounting procedures and have experience in evaluating controls associated with complex business processes.
  • Demonstrate experience conducting analysis of financial and business records to support federal/state investigations and prosecutions by using criminal investigative tools and other client-owned databases.
  • Demonstrate ability to conduct research and analysis using open source information, national and international databases, and corporate record filings to correlate and summarize data into a finished professional product which will be presented to a prosecution team.

Basic Qualifications:
Required Qualifications
  • BA/BS degree OR equivalent Accounting certification/experience.
  • Must have three (3) or more years of relevant experience related to forensic accounting.
Desired Qualifications
  • A certification or degree in forensic accounting, finance, criminology is desired and will not be substituted for work experience.
