General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for a CMMI / Process Improvement Lead to join our team. The position provides an opportunity to further advance some of our nation's fundamental defense services. General Dynamics Mission Systems employees work closely with esteemed clients to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions.

The selected candidate will work with collaborative teams to identify and help acquire new business ventures for General Dynamics Mission Systems and its customers. Key Responsibilities

The candidate will support the analytical and administrative staff within a Capability Maturity Model Integration for Services (CMMI-SVC) maturity level 3 organization. The candidate will lead the activities to maintain and advance the current maturity level. The candidate must be a creative, highly motivated leader, who is able to work independently or as part of a team.

Candidates should demonstrate sophisticated research and analysis skills, as well as an ability to further evolve the General Dynamics Mission Systems' business.

CMMI / Process Improvement Leads must have a Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline or related specialty or the equivalent, and eight to ten years of related experience. Applicants with a Master's degree and six to eight years of professional experience also qualify.

Department of Defense Secret security clearance with an ability to get an TS/SCI is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

  • Demonstrated experience leading/managing or playing a significant role in leading/managing CMMI related activities under CMMI for Services, Development, or Acquisition.

  • Advanced understanding of the CMMI process areas, goals, objectives, and best practices.

  • Demonstrated project management experience with ability to lead projects of varying scope and complexity

  • Experience performing configuration management activities to control organizational documentation

  • Experience leading risk and opportunity management activities

  • Ability to analyze, author, or edit business and technical processes

  • Ability to multi-task and be flexible in a challenging and fast-paced environment

  • Ability to manage schedules and prepare status reports.

  • Ability to assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet defined improvement goals and objectives
