Area Sales Manager – UK North – Fixed Systems
Although your role is to manage some current accounts, business development is your main focus. Your job is to manage and grow the sales in the northern part or the center part of the UK. You are ideally located in Manchester/Liverpool, or further north. You will keep the right equilibrium between the three routes-to-market: sister companies, distributors and end-users. You will capitalise on the strong presence of Tyco products in the UK and grow the gas and flame detection part where we are currently positioned as challenger.

Home-office based, you have a perfect set-up to travel a minimum of 4 days a week. Most of the administrative work will be performed by our internal sales office (offers, order follow-up), allowing you to focus on the field. Nurturing the relationship with your existing customers and developing new ones is a strong self-motivator.

You will visit, train, and support our current distributors as well as visit end-users across various industries (Oil & Gas, Water treatment, Steel, Chemical, food industry, etc.). Your role is to convey our expertise and motivation to play a major role in the gas detection market. Your contribution is a real added-value and your goal is the strongest customer intimacy. You will have the ability to switch from a technical expert approach to a sales enabler to a legal adviser, consistently providing the best customer service.

The ideal candidate will have least 5 years of relevant sales experience, ideally in the gas detection or the instrumentation business. Sales experience within the fire industry would also be considered.

They will be independent and extravert, be able to work entirely autonomously and be a strong results-driven individual. They will also have a strong team spirit.
A Graduate or Master’s degree would be desirable, especially with a specialism in Chemistry.
