About the Business Line
AECOM's Global Support Services (GSS) organization resides within AECOM's Government business line and is comprised of three divisions - International Development, Operations and Mission Support, and Global Programs. GSS has the international presence, personnel networks and procurement infrastructure to deliver support for any mission, anywhere. We optimize the reliability, availability and sustainability of equipment, logistics systems and facilities for clients around the world. Job Summary
Purpose and Scope :

Perform a variety of engineering assignments on industrial base operations and maintenance of facilities infrastructure. Assignments range from requirements development thru design and implementation support. Provides technical support to project task plan development and implementation. Projects range in multi-discipline complexity, with primary focus on fire protection, and to a lesser extent, mechanical and HVAC systems. Provide technical support to 5 Year Plans and life cycle planning. Provides technical support to ROM (Rough Order of Magnitude) estimates for projects, as well as risk assessments to support proper project prioritization.

Essential Responsibilities :
  1. Perform a range of design development, analysis or review tasks independently.
  2. Provide conceptual designs in order to support ROM and task plan development. Experience using RS Means is desired
  3. Participate in SHARP team activities.
  4. May provide training to less experienced engineers.
  5. Provide technical support for management of project/task order efforts.
  6. Prepare, deliver and submit technical presentations in support of planning efforts.
  7. Direct interface and liaison with customers at all levels from quotation to final design, design reviews and technical working group meetings to comply with requirements and specifications.
  8. Develop, maintain and produce technical documentation to support ROM and risk assessment efforts.
  9. Conduct site visits, and analyze engineering problems, propose solutions and alternatives, and provide recommendations.
  10. Verify and comply with engineering documentation standards and test procedures.
  11. Ensuring assigned projects are completed on time, and within approved scope and budget. .
  12. Integrate project resources with budget development and execution skill in interrelating requirements, schedules, and cost. Experience using MS Project is desired.

Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested

Minimum Requirements
Bachelors degree in Engineering, or related scientific field and at least 5 years of job-related experience or equivalent. Experience with design of Fire Protection systems required. Good communications and analytical skills; working knowledge of computer systems and integrated software application programs. The position may require the ability to investigate, troubleshoot, and design solutions to problems in operational hardware and software.

Position may require travel. Position may require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance. US citizenship required for unescorted access to assigned work area(s). Must be able to successfully pass a National Agency Check w/Inquiries.
