SAP FI - CO (Senior) Business Analyst

The position will be located in our new IT Hub in Katowice (Poland), will be part of Group IS and will report to the Head of IS Service Management PM & Group.

The SAP FI - CO (Senior) Business Analyst defines, delivers and standardizes ERP (SAP) business solutions and services to meet the business needs. The holder of the role is the key driver for application standardization and ensures quality of the ERP services delivered.


Business Demand to Architecture

  • Gathers business requirements and translates them into IS specifications, ensures completeness of system requirements and validates IS architecture against requirements;
  • Initiate projects including effort estimation in coordination with other IS departments;
  • Drive the definition and implementation of end-to-end solutions;
  • Lead creation of functional design to develop standard SAP FI - CO solutions and services;
  • Definition & monitoring of business impact KPIs;
  • Business interface role in regards with SAP FI - CO solutions and services;

Solution definition and transition to service

  • Drives the implementation, standardization, simplification and integration process of ERP technologies considering the service roadmap;
  • Defines solution scope change management and develops strategies for change support;
  • Manage the end user adoption and business process support;
  • Ensure integration of SAP FI - CO solutions across functions jointly with other IS teams;

Innovation and continuous improvements of ERP solutions and services

  • Asses existing ERP solutions against market trends and influences the ERP roadmap definition accordingly (including gap analysis and business case approval);
  • KPIs and SLAs definition and reporting to identify improvement potential.


  • 5 years of functional experience with SAP FI - including but not limited to solution deployment, change request management, end user adaption and training, and support;
  • Proven record of leading and/or being involved in at least 2 full-cycle projects in the field SAP FI and preferably SAP CO also;
  • Proven record of managing SAP FI interfaces with CO, PS, LE, SCM and/or PP;
  • Strong understanding of the financial processes and procedures (e.g. accounts payable, accounts receivable, assets accounting and other similar);
  • Expertise with mapping business requirements into IT specifications (preferably within a global manufacturing business environment);
  • Experience within SAP FI - CO global scope projects and background with workshops coordination, training delivery, and in coordination of onshore/offshore teams;
  • Good communication & presentation skills, and strong stakeholder management;
  • Willingness to travel 30% of the working time (mainly in our European sites but not only);
  • Bachelor degree in IT, Business Administration or Economics; Excellent English while additional languages as German / French / Spanish / Italian will be a plus.
