Job Summary
AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Bridge Engineer for employment in the Louisville, KY office. The position will include working in a team environment in the Louisville Transportation Group. Incumbent is expected to take part in such things as: preparation of bridge designs, plans, and specifications, bridge inspection, task management, interaction with clients, and business development.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
  • Performing and checking bridge design calculations and plans for projects and preparing technical reports
  • Working on a wide range of projects and tasks and assist with field research, data collection, data analysis, graphics, maps and data presentation, and report and proposal development
  • Assist in design of transportation roadway and civil engineering projects
  • Working under supervision of a project manager or senior-level team member

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in structural engineering or other related field
  • 2 years of experience, with an emphasis in civil engineering field of bridge design and/or inspection
  • Successfully passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam
  • Proficiency in steel and concrete bridge design
  • Capable of using spreadsheet, word processing and standard office software
  • Basic knowledge of industry standard computer software for the position (examples include software such as MicroStation)
  • Must possess a valid driver's license
  • Demonstrated ability to build trusting working relationships with clients and colleagues
