About the Business Line
We create comprehensive delivery solutions for water, wastewater and wet weather systems, desalination, water resources, water reuse, tunneling, and community infrastructure through traditional and alternative delivery services such as program management and design-build.
We have an opportunity for an experienced Civil/Environmental/Geotechnical Engineer with Mine Water Management experience to join the team in Townsville, QLD. As an experienced member of the team, you will provide technical leadership, coaching and mentoring to develop junior engineers and technicians. You will undertake technical investigations and design and project management for a diverse range of water resource projects with a focus on mine water management assessments and tailings dam safety and compliance management. You will be a key member of our Water Resources team and contribute to the strategic planning for the Group.
You will have a minimum of 7 years' relevant professional experience, preferably within a consulting environment, with a working knowledge of the QLD legislation on regulated dams and tailings being highly regarded. Proficiency in a range of water resource skills including mine water management, tailings management, water balance, dam safety inspections and drainage will be a requirement. You will have proven task and project management skills and will be proficient in report writing. You will need to occasionally undertake site inspections and supervise field teams and subcontractors. You will be client focussed and your creative and business savvy proposal writing, as well as your sound understanding of the local market, trends and opportunities will be key to your success in the role.
• Tertiary Qualifications in Civil / Environmental / Geotechnical (or equivalent)
• Registered or registrable as CPEng and RPEQ
• Current Class C drivers licence
