Role Title: Intercompany Specialist
Department: Finance - Record To Report

The purpose of this position is to manage the intercompany transaction process for HDS EMEA in conjunction with the OTC and PTP departments ensuring intercompany balances agree at every month end.

The intercompany accountant will have responsibility for EMEA countries and all interactions with US and APAC. Activities include:

  • Prepare and post (following approval) intercompany journals
  • Month end: Run cost centre report and notify AR of invoices required
  • Implement system of pre-approval of intercompany charges prior to processing invoices
  • Awareness and understanding of VAT and intercompany cross charges to enable them to apply the correct VAT treatment to the transaction.
  • Dispute resolution. Liaison with F&A manager as applicable
  • Perform intercompany reconciliations, upload reconciliations
  • Month end: Complete Excel matrix to ensure all accounts net to zero (within EMEA)
  • Email communication with US and APAC to ensure all balances are confirmed and agreed
  • Confirm Intercompany as final
  • Compile periodic reports / management information
  • Maintenance of existing policies and procedures to ensure they remain up to date and relevant
  • Implement regular, structured communication processes with key stakeholders to update them on financial accounting performance, risks and issues
  • Respond promptly to incoming queries from stakeholders and take actions to resolve
  • Perform other duties as required



  • Experience in Finance and Accounting


  • Intercompany experience
  • Experience of working directly with multiple countries and cultures in a finance capacity
  • Shared services experience
  • Oracle experience
  • Experience of Sarbanes Oxley compliance



  • Time management, professionalism, drive and resilience, problem solving, ability to build relationships, delivering quality service
  • Fluent English

  • Knowledge of Polish language and other European languages
