Principal Duties and Responsibilities
• Provide startup, commissioning and troubleshooting services for conventional and advanced water treatment facilities, distribution and transmission main systems, pumping and storage facilities, and chemical feed systems.
• Prepares standard operating procedures and operation and maintenance manuals for new and existing facilities.
• Perform onsite inspections and condition assessments for water related equipment and facilities.
• Evaluate staffing, operating costs, and system redundancy for reliable operations.
Works under the management and leadership of the Director of the Operations Technology Group. Must be willing to travel on short notice. Must be able to work independently on a job site and communicate effectively with the project manager.
Minimum of 2 years' of experience
Preferred Job Qualifications
Has at least 10 years experience in water operations.
Technical writing skill are a must.
Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, PDF, Microsoft Visio) are essential.
Ability to understand construction design drawings in required.
Plant startup and commissioning would be a plus.
Has a water operator certificate that is equal to a State's highest level is a plus.
A graduate with a BS or BA degree from an accredited college.
A BS degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemistry, or Biology is an acceptable substitute for some of the practical experience.
Must have a valid driver's license.
