About the Business Line
We address the complete spectrum of energy challenges, including clean and renewable energy, energy efficiency and carbon management, hydropower and dams, thermal, geothermal and wind power generation, and transmission and distribution.
AECOM is seeking a Research and Development Engineer 4 for our Morgantown, WV location.
Level Specific Responsibilities:
Complete mechanical design packages in accordance with ASME codes such as B31.3, Section VIII and
Efficiently use AutoDesk products such as AutoCAD, Inventor and Vault to produce mechanical
and process engineering drawing packages such as detailed fabrication drawings, Piping and
Instrumentation Drawings (P&IDs) and Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs).
Prepare and check moderately complex calculations within the mechanical discipline as well as process
calculations such as heat and mass balance and pressure relief calculations.
Create, review and advise purchase orders and subcontracts.
Fully understand and review interdisciplinary engineering documents.
Assist with the development of man hour estimates for design, fabrication, and installation of design efforts.
Independently integrate all project functional requirements into a complete project plan.
Maintain positive working relationship and communicate effective
Bachelors degree in Engineering, or related scientific field and at least 8 years of job-related experience or a Masters degree and 3 years of experience or a Ph. D. or equivalent. A Professional Engineer's license may substitute for 2 years of experience. Excellent communication and analytical skills; working knowledge of computer systems and integrated software application programs. Position may require travel. Position may require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance.
FE (EIT) certificate preferred.
