About the Business Line
Our team of environment specialists offers clients expertise in air quality, impact analysis and permitting, environmental health and safety management consulting/due diligence, remediation consulting/engineering and construction/site restoration, specialty and emerging technologies, waste services and water and natural resources.

Job Summary
Marie Curie ITN, Metal-Aid, funded by the European Commission under H2020

Characterization and contaminant mapping of chlorinated hydrocarbons (CHC) and/or heavy metal contaminated sites. Evaluation and injection of new Layered Double Hydroxide (LDH) formulations, with treatment capabilities for the contaminants of concern.
Starting date: Fall 2016, Duration of employment: 36 months.

Minimum Requirements
  • MSc (degree obtained within the last 4 years before signature of the contract, or expected to be obtained at the time of contract being signed) in chemistry, hydrogeology, geochemistry, environmental science, chemical engineering or a closely related subject. Skills in subsoil investigation / remediation, inorganic - surface chemistry and knowledge of Spanish language are desirable.
  • The researcher must not have resided or carried out his/her main activity (work, studies, etc.) in Spain for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately prior to his/her recruitment. Short stays, such as holidays, are not taken into account.
  • The researcher will be seconded to two other partner institutions (for a duration of 1-3 months each): University of Salamanca (Spain) and Capital Region of Denmark (Denmark).
