About the Business Line
AECOM's Global Support Services (GSS) organization resides within AECOM's Government business line and is comprised of three divisions - International Development, Operations and Mission Support, and Global Programs. GSS has the international presence, personnel networks and procurement infrastructure to deliver support for any mission, anywhere. We optimize the reliability, availability and sustainability of equipment, logistics systems and facilities for clients around the world. GSS supports the U.S. Government, non-U.S. Governments and industry clients with worldwide program management, planning, design, operations and maintenance, logistics, aviation services, security, international development, environmental and civil engineering and mission and intelligence support.

Job Summary
A Senior Logistician at the external facility shall be responsible for assisting with the administration and control for US Government purchased materials and services, and for AECOM materiel acquired through contract venues. Further, the Senior Logistician will be responsible for directing the complete process for transporting people and goods; overseeing materials management within the External Facility; coordinating and planning facility services; tracking cost issues; and administering all elements of multi-faceted programs at the External facility.

Specific duties as follows:
  1. Assist with purchasing of materials and services at the External Facility facility to include:
    • Assisting with the pricing of materials for US Government procurement through a variety of internal and external sources; validates customer requirements against regulations and estimates costs.
    • Reconciling routine to moderately complex financial statements (AECOM credit card activity) to ensure expenses are properly recorded; reconciling accounts payable to ensure accuracy and funding availability; reviewing bills/invoices for accuracy; and resolving discrepancies with vendors.
  2. Coordinate the process for transportation of material and people.
    • Coordinates the transportation of goods through established transportation processes; arranges for transportation of material; coordinates shipment and receipt of materials; using established guidelines where possible, determines best shipping method based on customer, cargo type and consignee requirements.
    • Responds to courier requests; coordinates U-Drive it vehicle assets with the External Facility Dispatcher, and coordinates chauffeur requests with the External Facility Dispatcher.
  3. Maintain inventories of goods and materials for area of assignment.
    • Processes inventory requests and validates receipt of goods and materials against requirements; ensures inventory requests are fulfilled (as directed by CRI).
    • Coordinates the maintenance of a fleet of vehicles with Motor Pool fleet manager, assists CRI accountable officer with maintaining table of vehicular allowances and tracking database; ensures vehicles are maintained.
    • Performs property accounting at the direction of Program Management. Plans and conducts property inventory and reconciles property discrepancies as requested by the Client accountable officer and Logistics Lead.
  4. Coordinate with AECOM External Facility Manager in the implementation of office moves, renovations, and maintenance.
    • Implements office moves; establishes schedules and procedures; ensures proper numbers of staff are available.
    • Assists AECOM Facility Manager in office renovations by serving as a liaison to customers and construction workers.
    • Schedules routine office maintenance; works with AECOM Facility Manager to ensure offices are properly maintained.
  5. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements
  • Candidates to have three (3) years supervisory experience.
  • Minimum of three (3) years experience on the Client LAN system/network, with demonstrated experience in the customer service area.
  • Possess all requisite state/federal driving licenses
  • Provide motor vehicle records for the last three years. The client reserves the right to deny, suspend, or revoke driving privileges due to an unacceptable driving record or safety risk.
  • Candidate must have computer skills (MS Word and Lotus Notes), and must be able to document performance items for the Logistics mission at the Client External Facility. This information will be for passage to the Logistics lead.

    Security Requirement: Active TS/SCI w/Poly
