About the Business Line
AECOM's Global Support Services (GSS) organization resides within AECOM's Government business line and is comprised of three divisions - International Development, Operations and Mission Support, and Global Programs. GSS has the international presence, personnel networks and procurement infrastructure to deliver support for any mission, anywhere. We optimize the reliability, availability and sustainability of equipment, logistics systems and facilities for clients around the world. GSS supports the U.S. Government, non-U.S. Governments and industry clients with worldwide program management, planning, design, operations and maintenance, logistics, aviation services, security, international development, environmental and civil engineering and mission and intelligence support.

Job Summary
Responsibilities to be conducted at the direction of the Team Lead Assistant Team lead or designee:
  1. Accept and internally deliver, to all customers' room address, items delivered by all outside vendors, with the exception of furniture and equipment that is accompanied by an installation team from the vendor. Customers are responsible for meeting the vendor, signing for the material and completing any receiving as required. Commercial vendors or Contractors located within the Customer Compound are responsible for the receiving and handling of their own deliveries.
  2. Stage excess property for pick-up and transport via a weekly US Government truck. Ensure that the proper paperwork is completed and returned to the customer.
  3. Perform minor furniture and safe relocations (defined as less than 8 labor hours) for internal customers located within Customer Compound.
  4. Maintain a supply of standard moving supplies such as boxes, tape and corner protectors required for these relocations.
  5. Support large office moves (defined as greater than 8 labor hours), as resources permit, with at least 72 hours' notice.
  6. Order and deliver copier paper to individual offices upon request. Appropriate equipment supplies will be delivered to the requesting office. The load dock operation will not be responsible for placing boxes in cabinets or other storage containers within the office area. Material Handler personnel will maintain a bulk copy paper and toner storage area within the building and monitor and order the building paper.
  7. Delivery of safes, furniture and boxes to offsite locations to include, but not limited to USG official's residences and USG offices in commercial buildings, as resources permit.
  8. Properly handle and retrieve of classified burn bags for USG weekly pick up.
  9. Coordinate and move materials to off-site storage location, as resources permit.
  10. Empty and remove shredder bags in the Customer Compound.
  11. Collect and recycle toner cartridges.
  12. Open conference rooms.
  13. Open Classified Trash Rooms
  14. On a weekly basis monitor the copy paper supply of all copiers and printer locations within the Customer Compound and supply/deliver paper where and when needed.

Minimum Requirements
  • Minimum of one year (1) year recent load dock operations experience.
  • Possess all requisite state/federal driving licenses
  • Provide motor vehicle records for the last three years. There is a requirement for the Material Handler Laborer to operate a Customer owned or leased vehicle. The Customer reserves the right to deny, suspend, or revoke driving privileges due to an unacceptable driving record or safety risk.
  • Must be able to lift 70 lbs.
  • Basic computer skills (MS Word and Lotus Notes)
  • Candidate will be required to take the Class B driving training at a state certified facility and pass the drivers examinations for the issuance of a Class B commercial driving license with passenger endorsement. AECOM will fund the training at no cost to the candidate. Candidate will be required to take the course on his/her own time on the weekend or evening hours.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.
