Electronic Systems Technician - SimplexGrinnell (San Diego, CA)

About the role:
  • Perform service and repairs on electronic fire alarm systems and other related building system products at customer sites.
  • Service, troubleshoot and install many different manufacturers including Simplex.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems programs, schematics and operational product manuals.
  • Manage daily call activity and program system products, including networking and programming.
  • Assist customers with all questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner. Participation in an on-call rotation for Emergency Service.

Who we're looking for:
  • Knowledge of NFPA 72 and NEC codes
  • Massachusetts class B or D Electrical License
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Outstanding Customer service and problem solving skills
  • PC Skills including Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Available to support a rotating afterhours on-call service as needed
  • Able to adhere to and follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times
  • Must have excellent communication skills, strong organizational skills, a positive attitude, and an ability to learn quickly
  • Possess valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets company requirements
  • Able to pass a pre-employment background investigation and drug test
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent; 18 Years of age or older
