WSP|Parsons Brinckerhoff has an immediate need for a Senior Environmental Strategic Manager in the New York, NY office. Working with a team of highly motivated transportation planning and environmental professionals, the person in this position will help to increase WSP|Parsons Brinckerhoff 's presence in the New York region's environmental/transportation/planning market, particularly in the areas of NEPA, SEQR and CEQR environmental process, analysis and documentation. The employee will help guide the workload of and mentor junior environmental/planning staff, manage environmental activities of all phases of an assigned project, act as Project Manager and/or technical specialist on larger environmental projects, and conduct networking, marketing, and business development activities.

Job Requirements
Experience Required:
      • Environmental: Technical experience in the areas of NEPA, SEQR and CEQR environmental process, analysis and documentation. Experience working on major EIS and EA projects in the New York City region and familiarity with Alternatives Analyses and FTA New Starts planning processes is highly desirable, as is permitting experience.
      • Project Management: Ability to manage scope, schedule and budget and oversee subconsultants for projects of moderate to large size. Ability to write proposals and work plans and prepare cost estimates addressing these issues.
      • Business Development: Interest in and ability to successfully lead strategic pursuits of local projects. Existing network of New York City client contacts is highly desirable.

Education Required:
      • Bachelor's degree in science, planning, environmental or engineering-related field.
      • Master's degree preferred.
      • Minimum of 15-20 years of relevant work experience (or equivalent working knowledge/ experience).
      • Professional registration (e.g., AICP, PP) preferred.

The selected candidate must have the ability to work in the United States immediately.
