About the Business Line
AECOM's Global Support Services (GSS) organization resides within AECOM's Government business line and is comprised of three divisions - International Development, Operations and Mission Support, and Global Programs. GSS has the international presence, personnel networks and procurement infrastructure to deliver support for any mission, anywhere. Job Summary
Provide support during shipboard Combat Systems tasks including Pier Side Refurbishments, C5RA, CSPAT, ICMP, TSRA, INSURV programs and Tech Assist events. Perform operation, preventive and corrective maintenance, functional checks, troubleshooting, testing, onboard maintenance training, assessment, inspection, engineering/technical evaluation , groom, calibration, removal/installation, overhaul, repair, restoration/refurbishment, modernization, and/or upgrade of Navy surface combatant ship AEGIS SPY-1 (SPY-1A through SPY-D(V)) and associated sub-systems and equipment.
Write technical, debrief, and trip reports.
Conduct oral debriefings to management and technical personnel.

Minimum Requirements
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
Must have successfully completed U.S. Navy rating "A" school and AEGIS SPY-1 RADAR system, transmitters, and data converter cabinets (DCC) MK-15 equipment "C" schools or equivalent hands-on experience.
Must have an in-depth knowledge of AEGIS SPY-1 RADAR System and equipment variants and AEGIS Weapon System (AWS).
Experience with maintaining and testing Fiber Optics and RF cables, connectors, and components.
Familiarity with hardware, software, network test equipment used to evaluate and correct operational failures (i.e. fiber optic testers, multi-meter's, o-scopes, network analyzers and special purpose test equipment.
A minimum of five (5) years total experience in operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of AEGIS SPY-1 RADAR System, sub-systems, and equipment.
Must be capable of using and reading technical operation and maintenance documentation and manuals, blueprints, engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and data tables.
Must possess a thorough knowledge of technical publications related to Navy surface ship combat and/or electronic systems.
Must be able to communicate effectively in written and oral expression.
Must know theory of electrical, electronic, RADAR, and RF principles.
Must possess a Secret Security Clearance

Preferred Qualifications
  • Preferred experience in operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repair of the Aegis Combat System (ACS) including the AEGIS Weapon Systems (AWS), AN/SPY-1 Radar System, command and decision (C&D), AEGIS Display System (ADS), weapon control system (WCS), MK99 Fire Control System (FCS), Operational Readiness Test System (ORTS), AEGIS Combat Training System (ACTS), and special purpose test equipment required in support of the AEGIS Weapon System.
