Job Summary
AECOM NY Metro Building Places seeks an Architect to join our Architecture Practice and contribute to a rich design culture, demonstrating a rigorous process of achieving design excellence.
  • Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Prepares designs, calculations, diagrams, addenda drawings, and field sketches, develops details based on field conditions, and authors / edits bulletins
  • Runs construction meetings and interfaces with the office design staff
  • Prepares architectural reports, progress narratives and reviews shop drawings

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture
  • Licensed as a Registered Architect
  • 7 years of experience
  • 2 years of contract field administration experience for architectural projects in New York City
  • Proficient in AutoCad and MS Office
  • Knowledge/experience in project production experience, standards and regulations
  • Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills; verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to successfully run the construction administration effort for complex projects
  • Diverse knowledge of New York City building procedures including codes, public bid laws and construction means and methods
  • Demonstrate a strong sense of urgency combined with the ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively within a team environment

Preferred Qualifications
  • NY State Registration is preferred
  • Experience in Revit, and ProjectWise
  • Experience in MS Project and Expedition
