About the Business Line
AECOM's Global Support Services (GSS) organization resides within AECOM's Government business line and is comprised of three divisions - International Development, Operations and Mission Support, and Global Programs. GSS has the international presence, personnel networks and procurement infrastructure to deliver support for any mission, anywhere. We optimize the reliability, availability and sustainability of equipment, logistics systems and facilities for clients around the world. GSS supports the U.S. Government, non-U.S. Governments and industry clients with worldwide program management, planning, design, operations and maintenance, logistics, aviation services, security, international development, environmental and civil engineering and mission and intelligence support.
Performs systems maintenance and operations. Applies technical knowledge to perform simple or routine tasks following detailed instructions.
Performs such tasks as replacing components and wiring circuits; repairing simple electronic equipment; and taking test readings using common instruments such as digital multimeters, signal generators, semiconductor testers, curve tracers, and oscilloscopes. Operates system under supervision. Receives technical guidance, as required from supervisor or higher-level technician. Work is checked for accuracy.
Performs organization and intermediate-level repair when supervised. Performs corrosion control on equipment/towers.
Cross-trained and qualified to operate at least one additional EW system.
Documents maintenance actions in IEMS.
High school diploma or equivalent. Formal classroom education equivalent to Navy "C" School or vocational school with formal training in the field of electronic equipment maintenance and equipment manufacturer training. Experience involved in the following electronic maintenance:
Digital/analog signal processing
Radar and radar theory
-Video signal processing and recording
-Communications (multiplexer equipment)
-Digital/analog computer systems
-High voltage power supplies
-RF signal processing
-Low-voltage AC equipment
-Auto-transfer (UPS) equipment
Ability to speak, read, and write English. Possess a valid state Driver's License. US Citizenship and Secret Clearance Required.
