To execute Aero-Thermal Analysis of Aerospace products of Sensor Division using principles and concepts in the fields of multi-phase fluid dynamics, both steady state and transient considering linear and non-liner behaviour. Indicative products are Electronic Units, Speciality heaters, Pitot probes, Flow sensors, Fluid level sensors, etc.|
Should be able to independently develop solutions to a wide range of Aero-thermal designs, develop analysis methodology, evaluate materials, loads and boundary conditions for reasonableness, correlate analysis results to physical test data and optimize the design to get desired output.
CFD aerodynamic analysis for probe development (Pitot-static probe, Total Air Temperature probe, ice detector) e.g. examine sensitivity of new sensor to changes in port location, port angle, proximity to temp. sensor, etc. e.g. airframe concentration factor analysis, probe collection efficiency analysis, etc.
Critical Point Analysis (CPA) for various programs useing existing process involving multi-phase CFD analysis and extensive Matlab tools
Develop group Matlab tools (e.g. data visualization, design aids, fitting routines, etc.)
Various data processing tasks with Matlab
Should be able to produce high quality reports documenting the complete analysis work package, including assumptions and limitations inherent in the analysis performed as well as potential solutions to all identified deficiencies.
Should be able to lead the Thermal and CFD group within the Mechanical Team.
BE/BTech in mechanical/aerospace/ engineering
ME/Mtech in Thermal/CFD
Experience: 8 to 11 years in the field of thermal and computational fluid dynamics. Experience in Aero-Thermal analysis of electronic subsystem is preferable.
Basic aerodynamics in Sub-sonic, transonic, Inviscid vs. turbulent flows. Good understanding of heat transfer (esp. icing physics) strongly preferred
Exposure to Military/Aerospace/Automotive/Medical standards.
Must: Ansys CFX/Fluent, ICEM CFD, Matlab
Familization: UG, Pro-E, Catia V5.
