Job Summary
The Transportation Division of AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Deputy Program Director - Contracts/Change Management for immediate employment in the Salt Lake City, UT office. This position will report to the Program Director, be responsible for TRP construction delivery with an emphasis on the contract cost and change management and airport systems construction delivery. This person will be an integral part in the core management team of a $1.8B Terminal Redevelopment Program (TRP) for the Salt Lake City International Airport. The project includes construction of a new consolidated terminal building, parking structure, and connection with the light rail system. We are looking for an individual with a passion for aviation and who is very familiar with CMAR contracting methods. This individual will work directly with the Program Manager and lead a team of five. This position is contingent upon award of contract.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
  • Oversee establishment of project management plan
  • Establish the program requirements for all areas of the project and monitors the draft and final deliverables for adherence to these criteria
  • Plan, direct, supervise and control the execution of all technical, fiscal and administrative functions of the assigned project

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture or related engineering discipline
  • 10 years of progressive U.S. design and construction experience at major hub airports in the US
  • Must have demonstrated experience in managing design and construction implementation teams with a minimum of one (1) program at a large-hub airport with a capital program of at least $500 million
  • Must be familiar with a wide range of project delivery methods (for example design-bid-build, design-build, construction manager at risk)
  • Must have experience managing staff on large, complex construction programs including; project managers and program administrators, cost engineer, cost specialists, schedulers, office engineers and resident engineers
  • Must possess the ability to successfully manage and work with multifaceted teams including architects, engineers, sub consultants, inspectors, testing technicians, construction managers, general contractors and sub-contractors in a professional and technical manner
  • Must have experience with design and implementation of airport systems including baggage handling systems, passenger boarding bridges and other ground services equipment
  • Must have experience with and understanding of LEED silver certification requirements
  • Must be able to interact and efficiently coordinate with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and other public agency staff, administrators and stakeholders
  • Must have the ability to oversee all TRP construction projects from inception through completion with an emphasis on contract negotiations, review and negotiation of change order requests, change management process, conflict resolution, proper and timely close out of the projects with public agencies having jurisdiction; commissioning and timely turn over to owner and end users
  • Must have a successful track record in risk management, conflict resolution; must have excellent communication skills and proficient in various project management software systems
