About the Business Line
AECOM's Global Support Services (GSS) organization resides within AECOM's Government business line and is comprised of three divisions - International Development, Operations and Mission Support, and Global Programs. GSS has the international presence, personnel networks and procurement infrastructure to deliver support for any mission, anywhere. We optimize the reliability, availability and sustainability of equipment, logistics systems and facilities for clients around the world. Job Summary
Position will serve as the ORNL Electrical Supervisor, assigned to Nuclear & High Hazard Operations.

  • Provide direct supervision of the electrical craft employees.
  • Using the ISMS philosophy, ensure all safety practices are utilized by craft personnel.
  • Identify maintenance problems and resolve daily administrative issues.
  • Interface with multiple organizations and companies to coordinate work activities.
  • Evaluate current procedures and recommend changes.
  • Ensure craft personnel are properly trained to perform requested activities.
  • Ensure compliance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement and Company policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the work control process by working with the work planner to walk-down and plan work activities.
  • May be assigned to a position in support of the site Emergency Operations Center (EOC) or Joint Information Center (JIC).
  • Participate in project planning activities and provide input and feedback for ISMS.
  • Provide guidance as a representative of UCOR to manage and input employees' time in authorized time keeping system.
  • Support the LEAN Program by identifying and working to eliminate waste from work processes.

Minimum Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in job related electrical industry.
  • Demonstrated knowledge (3-5 years) of electrical supervision.
  • General knowledge of National Electrical Code, National Electrical Safety Code and NFPA 70E Standards.
  • General knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1910 and 1925.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to read and understand electrical and instrument drawings.
  • Demonstrated computer skills for maintenance systems.
  • Demonstrated flexibility to work multiple tasks.
  • Able to interface and communicate job requirements with craft personnel.
  • Proven safety record when providing direction and or following safety procedures.
  • Must possess or ability to obtain a "Q" clearance is required.
