1) The incumbent would be a part of the Landing Systems division at the Global Engineering Center - India (GEC-I) facility in Bangalore.
2) Involved in providing technical guidance to a team of structural analysts and mentor junior engineers as required.
3) Lead Stress Analysis activity for Sustaining / In-Production Engineering, Toolings and Test Rigs for Landing Gears. Perform Structural Analyses (static and fatigue) using hand calculations (classical methods) and FEA using ABAQUS.
4) Proficiency in MathCAD will be an added advantage.
5) Meticulously conduct quality checks of the deliverables in the team and ensure they meet customer requirements / standards.
6) Communicate regularly with the customer, understand their needs, develop plans, take full ownership of projects and drive them to closure.
7) Ensure proper completion of various departmental initiatives and that all engineering and organizational quality processes are adhered to.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering with 7-10 years of relevant experience.

Desired Skills / Qualifications:
1) Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering fundamentals / principles.
2) Hands on experience in deriving landing loads and identifying critical sections for Landing Gears and its components is a must.
3) Strong background in performing stress analyses (static, fatigue and dynamic) of Landing Gear components (both in-production and new programs) using hand calculations (classical methods) and ABAQUS FEA software is a must.
4) Quickly learn the application and usage of in-house stress analysis tools and implement them on projects with minimal supervision.
5) Experience in analysis of Concession Studies.
6) Understand the nuances involved in mechanical / aerospace design and come up with innovative solutions to complex problems.
7) Good analytical and communication skills coupled with a high level of emotional maturity to handle aggressive requests from customers (SBU) are mandatory.
8) Willingness to work in extremely tight schedules, while still not neglecting the value of attention to detail and subsequently delivering high quality work.
9) Ability to work well either individually or in a team.
10) Well versed in leading and implementing the principles of ACE in day-to-day projects (Standard Work, QCPC, RRCA, etc.).
