WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff is looking for a seasoned and talented UI/UX Client Side/Front End Web Developer for its Project Visualization practice area in our Denver, Colorado office. Individual will be responsible for creating world-class responsive user experiences with production standard HTML5, Javascript and CSS3. Successful candidates should be skilled at solving design problems, have a desire to learn, and a track record of producing highly-polished websites/web applications. Position requires regular collaboration with project managers, designers, and software engineers.

Successful individuals will be detail-oriented, organized, and experienced in client-side web development and usability standards. Successful candidates will also possess strong communication skills and must be adept at working in a team environment. Position requires multi-tasking on a daily basis, with the ability to self-manage tasks on multiple short- and long-term projects. Individuals must be articulate, attentive listeners, comfortable with client relations, and able to think outside the boundaries of traditional web design.

      • Development of websites from hand-off of original design artwork from graphic designer to website launch, and provide follow up maintenance as needed
      • Work closely with back-end developers to ensure the integrity of the UI throughout the development life-cycle
      • Integrate presentation layer code with CMS and portal technologies
      • Cross-browser and mobile testing protocols
      • Research and stay current with web technology design/development trends, and train and assist team members as needed
      • Support project managers, software engineers and colleagues as appropriate for client needs
      • Autonomously and effectively manage assigned projects within specified timelines

Job Requirements
      • Candidate will have 3+ years of industry experience
      • Experience in PC-based web design a must
      • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (specifically, Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver and Typekit)
      • Strong oral and written communication skills
      • Mobile/responsive web design/development experience
      • Web usability implementation and human interaction/user experience knowledge
      • Proficient in current web standards, modern browser support and testing, with a firm grasp of front-end web development best practices and why they are important
      • Advanced skills diagnosing and resolving issues
      • Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, Javascript, jQuery, AJAX, Adobe Creative Suite CC, NA, Classic ASP, Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint)
Desired Skills:
      • Knowledge of IIS Web Server functionality
      • Knowledge of and integration experience with third party JavaScript/CSS libraries (jQuery, Kendo, Bootstrap), cross-browser and mobile testing experience, Section 508/World Wide Web Consortium web accessibility guidelines/standards, SEO understanding
