About the Business Line
We create comprehensive delivery solutions for water, wastewater and wet weather systems, desalination, water resources, water reuse, tunneling, and community infrastructure through traditional and alternative delivery services such as program management and design-build.

Job Summary
AECOM is currently seeking a Senior Level professional to serve as a Design Build Project Manager for our Water Business Line in North America. We have developing opportunities in the Southeastern United States. It is expected that the Design Build Project Manager is capable of performing in both engineering management and construction project management capacities. This position has the opportunity to grow into a Regional Operations Manager position. This is position is contingent upon award of contract.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
  • Managing activities and executing a detailed multi-discipline design through AECOM's design centers
  • Acting as overall project manager for procurement, scheduling, VE or constructability reviews
  • In charge of job cost reporting, and budget control activities through the life of the project, including EAC analysis during on-site construction

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Sanitary Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related field
  • 10 years of related experience
  • Contracting license and or P.E registration
  • Good understanding of project delivery and ability to facilitate technical discussions when needed
  • Proven project management experience with ability to manage a diverse team
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate, influence and manage risk
  • Proven ability to conduct competitive assessments and price to win analysis
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability in working with local and state regulatory agencies
  • Experience in managing both engineering and construction subcontractors
  • Ability to mentor staff
  • Incumbent must be willing and able to travel approximately 50% of the time
  • Due to the nature of this work, U.S. citizenship is required
  • Must possess a valid driver's license
