About the Business Line
AECOM's Global Support Services (GSS) organization resides within AECOM's Government business line and is comprised of three divisions - International Development, Operations and Mission Support, and Global Programs. AECOM has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Radiological Controls Engineer in Carlsbad, New Mexico.
The successful candidate will be responsible for day-to-day implementation of the WIPP Radiological Control Program and Conduct of Operations in all aspects of routine, abnormal, and emergency response work. The successful candidate will provide work assignments and be a resource for Radiological Control Technicians. The candidate will ensure that radiological support for WIPP Waste Handling operations are conducted in accordance with the approved procedures implementing ALARA principles and compliance with 10 CFR 835. Also responsible for ensuring the completion of surveys, posting and controlling radiological hazards on surface and underground, radioactive source control, routine air monitoring, and other duties as assigned by the RC&D Manager. Must be able to qualify as a WIPP Radiological Control Technician.
