•Involvement and support of Whole Systems Business Model in a Salary Bargaining Unit position (SBU)|
•Interpret Drawings and 3D Models for manufacturability in Fabrication and / or Machining
•Develop and provide processes and instruction to the production operators
•Concept and detail fixturing and tool aids to support production processes
•Perform stress analysis on fixturing
•Understand electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic requirements related to machines and fixturing
•Procure needed tooling and equipment to support production processes including welding fabrication and machining.
•Provide assistance on cost estimating for future programs and tasks
•Provide technical support and training to the manufacturing operations at JSMC
•Ability to implement PSCA and continuous improvement.
•Involvement with New Business Funding (NBF) programs to research manufacturing related technology for development and implementation
•Involvement with shop floor prototype development and Design for Manufacturing activities.
•Provide technical interface with on-site customer (US Government)
•BS Mechanical Engineering / Manufacturing Engineering preferred, BS in related Technical/ Engineering fields or relevant work experience considered.
•Must be US Person
•Be able to work in a team based environment
•Be able to climb, walk, and lift up to 20lbs.
•May be required to spend considerable amount of time on the production floor
•Demonstrate project management skills and organization
•Understanding of GD&T
•Experience with 3D modeling software; experience with Pro-E (Creo) and or Mastercam x9 a plus
•Able to perform problem solving and root cause analysis
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications
•Occasional travel and overtime maybe required
•May be required to work off shift
•May be required to meet military vehicle entry requirements
•May be required to obtain government issued security clearance
•Must be U. S. Citizen
