Purpose of Role
To carry out Grounds maintenance tasks within the London borough of Hounslow’s parks and open spaces.

Working Saturday and Sunday between 07:00 to 16:00. You will be following and completing predetermined route books you will be working alone or in a team to deliver a consistent high quality of service to our client.

This role requires you to be multi skilled as you will be carrying out various grounds maintenance tasks dependant on need and time of year.

Principal Accountabilities
• Grass Cutting
• Shrub bed maintenance
• Hedge cutting
• Leaf collection
• Strimming
• Collection of waste bins
• Litter picking
• Collection/transportation of Sharps
• Removal of graffiti
• Clearance of fly tips
• Removal/collection of animal waste
• Locking/Unlocking of gates
• Snow and ice clearance
• Work under the direction of line manager to complete other tasks as and when required
• Carrying out tasks in other locations as required

Additional Role Information
The successful candidate will be based at the Feltham depot and will be covering multiple parks within the borough of Hounslow.
Educated to GCSE Level
Experience and Knowledge
  • Ability to obtain a DBS (formally CRB)
  • Ability to complete accurate records
  • Good understanding of written and spoken English

  • Ride on mower
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Strimmer
  • Tractor
  • Hedge cutter
  • Trailer licence
  • Pa1/Pa6 knapsack spraying
  • Knowledge of Hounslow area
  • First aid certificate
  • Grounds maintenance experience
  • Playground inspection experience
