Our clients have an exciting opportunity for an Electrically bias facilities maintenance engineer to join their growing team in Oxfordshire.|
Electrically bias Facilities maintenance engineer
The Maintenance Engineer will deliver the planned and preventative maintenance schedule on time, safely and compliant to all relevant processes, procedures and statutory requirements. They will also implement solutions and long term repairs to all reactive and planned helpdesk call requests.
What are my responsibilities?
Conduct your work activity to ensure that the building meets relevant health and safety requirements and that the facilities and services comply with legislation and applicable statutory requirements, through the delivery of scheduled PPM service activities
Ensure that all relevant PPM documentation is kept up to date and compliant to SFG20 standards and procedures, satisfying all potential audit inspections
To liaise with 3rd party contractors in providing quotations and solutions to PPM and reactive maintenance activities
To deliver additional minor works and general site maintenance tasks, such as; partitioning repairs, painting, decorating, cleaning, floor laying, basic civils including drilling and fixing etc
To be point of contact (and resolution) for all major and minor power outages on site and to liaise with relevant service provides to resolve emergency power issues (such as SSE)
To provide additional support to all facility team members in delivering the facility services
To carry out semi-skilled services (handyman activities) as and when required within your trained remit to H&S legislation and approved codes of practice.
To manage the facility store areas and ensure that all relevant tooling and materials are available to conduct the PPM activities and to cover the majority of reactive works
To be part of the ‘out of hours’ call-out support team (on a rotational basis)
Significant experience of similar role in a similar environment
Experience in working with all facility ‘service providers’
A basic understanding of all statutory facility requirements
Experience of PPM and reactive works within a similar environment
17th Edition IEE Regs:2008
To be fully IPAF trained and harness trained
Electrical and mechanical knowledge of facility plant and equipment, with superb fault finding skills and abilities
