About the Business Line
AECOM's Global Support Services (GSS) organization resides within AECOM's Government business line and is comprised of three divisions - International Development, Operations and Mission Support, and Global Programs. GSS has the international presence, personnel networks and procurement infrastructure to deliver support for any mission, anywhere. Job Summary
AECOM is seeking a Construction Manager I to be based in our Oak Ridge, TN office.

This individual will be responsible for development of the scope of work, assist design engineering staff, be an integral part of the team to develop and conduct pre-construction planning, monitor daily construction activities and be a lead individual in the turnover and closeout for projects within various Oak Ridge reservation facilities.
This person will manage the designated construction project with a focus on safety, schedule and procedural compliance. Additionally, this person will direct the coordination and communication with subcontractors, functional organizations (such as Environmental Safety and Health, Waste Management, RadCon and QA/QC support staff), Operations and Maintenance, and other sub-tier third party construction support. This individual will also assist in the development of Process, Procedures and Construction Management oversight for the Small Business Construction contractors.

Minimum Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a Construction related discipline or demonstrated combination of equivalent education and experience;
  • At least 10 years of construction management and commercial office construction experience;
  • Prior DOE /Government site related experience;
  • Experience with construction and project related management aspects including estimates, budget, scheduling, project planning, resource allocation, project accounting, and control, while providing technical direction and ensuring compliance with quality standards;
  • Experience with oversight of building trade personnel;
  • Experience in integration of Safety, Radiation Control and Production Control;
  • Knowledge of construction technologies and job site management;
  • Experience with handling work package development and implementation;
  • Due to the nature of the work, Candidate must be a US citizen.
  • Capable of and experience in working in radiation zones and other high hazard environments including the possibility of wearing various types of respiratory protection

  • Buyer's Technical Representative Training (BTR)
  • OSHA 40 hr Hazardous Waste Worker
  • OSHA Hazardous Waste Worker for Supervisors
  • Radiation Worker II
Additional information:
  • Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test;
  • Relocation benefits are not included for this position at this time;
  • Security Clearance will be required (candidate must be able to attain security clearance).
