The Flight Captain pilots aircraft as a captain or copilot as assigned and ensures its airworthy condition. As Captain, develops and files flight plans, has responsibility for passengers and crew, analyzes weather conditions, determines fuel load and ensures operations comply with Company and Federal Aviation Administration regulations and requirements. Other responsibilities include: |
• Performs pre and post flight duties on aircraft, including functional checks of the aircraft and its systems, the servicing of fluids, the adding of nitrogen in tires, cleaning of the interior and exterior of aircraft as needed and completion of required company documents
• Verifies navigational materials and the aircraft flight management system are current for flight
• Downloads and updates GPS and FMS databases
• Shall have and will perform additional duties and assist as directed or assigned in other flight department functions, to include ground and/or air assignments
Requires Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) rating with Multi-Engine endorsement and a minimum flight time 2500 hours, experience in Raytheon B1900 and Gulfstream G200 or similar aircraft, satisfactory completion of Federal Aviation Administration 61.58 PIC and company check rides. Must maintain FAA First Class medical certificate.
