WSP| Parsons Brinckerhoff is leading a multidisciplinary team to manage the construction contracts for the City Island Bridge project. We have an immediate opportunity for an Assistant Resident Engineer (Supervising Construction Engineer) to join this team. The Assistant Resident Engineer will perform oversight of field activities and assist the Resident Engineer with project administration.

Job Duties Include:
      • Preparing monthly reports
      • Reviewing work product prepared by office engineers, DBE compliance personnel inspection staff and community outreach personnel
      • Monitoring contractor's field construction activities for compliance with plans, specs and permits
      • Attending meetings, recording meeting minutes, and assisting in project coordination with all stakeholders

Job Requirements
Education Required:
      • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Engineering, or related
      • Professional Engineering license (P.E.)
Experience/Skills Required:

      10 years of Resident Engineering and inspection experience in bridge and roadway projects, including a background in both field inspection and office engineering
      • Excellent oral and written communication skills
      • Proven leadership abilities
Desired Qualifications:
      • Previous experience as an RE
      • Previous experience on NYCDOT projects

The ability to work in the United States immediately is required. Local candidates are preferred.
