About the Business Line
We create comprehensive delivery solutions for water, wastewater and wet weather systems, desalination, water resources, water reuse, tunneling, and community infrastructure through traditional and alternative delivery services such as program management and design-build.

Job Summary
AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Municipal Engineer for immediate employment for the Middleton, WI office. AECOM is proud to provide our employees with exciting, challenging projects.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:
  • Applying proven experience to the planning and design of civil/municipal projects including storm water systems (sewer /watercourse /best management practices), sanitary sewer systems, and other infrastructure such as roadways, water, and site development
  • Developing and formulating cost-effective, technical solutions to client problems on assigned projects
  • Preparing documentation related to current or prospective projects, including plans, specifications, construction cost estimates, correspondence, and reports
  • Communicating and working with other project team members to provide quality service to clients to ensure that all documentation conforms to client/company standards
  • Collaborating with other groups across AECOM offices

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
  • 5 years of related work experience in municipal planning, preliminary and final design, and construction-related services
  • Registration as a PE in Wisconsin or ability to obtain within 6 months
  • Strong technical understanding of watermain, storm sewer, and sanitary conveyance and distribution
  • Strong understanding and experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, strong interpersonal, problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Experienced in working with WDNR, WisDOT, Corps of Engineers and other regulatory agencies

Preferred Qualifications
  • 8 years of design experience
  • Familiarity with stormwater modeling software (XP-SWMM, HEC-RAS, WinSLAMM, HY-8, etc.)
  • Knowledgeable of storm water management and erosion control requirements under NR 151 and NR216 of Wisconsin Administrative Code
