Our greatest asset has been and will continue to be our people. We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of Production Technician - FT within our Permian EOR group located in Denver City, TX.

Essential Job Duties:

The successful candidate for this position will be responsible for interacting with Well Analysts, Inject Well Controller/Pump Off Controller technicians, and Lift Specialists to maximize production capacity. Collaborates daily to determine producing well exceptions and performs diagnostics to return wells to production.
  • Equipment and facility isolation (Lock/out Tag/out) as needed
  • Maintain Company vehicle - inspect and maintain maintenance schedule
  • Complete Maximo vehicle inspection sheet on time
  • Issue Safe Work Permits as needed.
  • Perform Preventative Maintenance (PM) tasks as required
  • Report Spills and Call in Corrosion Damage Reports (CDR)
  • Spot Lines for excavation as needed
  • Perform/Maintain Housekeeping on Facilities and Wells
  • Engage Well Analyst and coordinate Well Testing to ensure we get a valid well test for every active well every 30 days
  • Ensure that the Sum of the Well Test and the Daily LACT sales are within 10% of each other
  • Problem Solve Invalid Well Test by working in conjunction with AT/WA/Eng
  • Input data into E-Vin, LOWIS, MAXIMO as required
  • Check BS&W content to maintain good oil
  • Coordinate monthly allowable
  • Check sample pot pressure and levels on LACT daily
  • Prepare for and Participate in Production, Safety and Business meetings
  • Monitor Automation systems to ensure safe and efficient operations of the wells and facilities
  • Provide input on Downtime to WA
  • Ensure that Downtime is captured correctly for the area assigned to the lease operator
  • Check and maintain oil levels on ALL air compressors

Well Head
  • Visual inspection (routine)
  • Check and maintain back pressure valves
  • Repair minor leaks
  • Stuffing boxes (grease and repack)
  • Inspect Piping
  • Coordinate major work
  • Cleanup minor spills
  • Shoot fluid levels on Beam wells with run times of 24 hours - monthly

Pumping Unit
  • Visual Inspection ((i.e. belts, guards, leaks)
  • Check and maintain oil levels on air compressors
  • Report spills, cleanup minor spills
  • Coordinate replacement of pumping unit belts

  • Repair minor leaks
  • Call in spills, contain spill, cleanup minor spills
  • Coordinate change out of flowline valves
  • Monitor and Maintain pressure switches

  • Visual Inspection
  • Maintain back pressure valves
  • Shoot fluid levels on ESP's without a downhole sensor - monthly

  • Visual inspection / housekeeping
  • Check vessel levels, pressures, switches, valves (perform <30>
  • Check pumps (seals, maintain oil levels)
  • Minor repairs- including clean meters and sight glasses
  • Check air compressors and backup system(s) daily
  • Verify and troubleshoot alarms
  • Maintain chemical pumps (surfactant, demulsifiers)
  • Check and maintain oil levels on air compressors
  • Input production eVin data for LACT and hand run facilities
  • Evaluate the elimination or consolidation of stationary and rotary equipment and offer suggestions on how to streamline operations
  • Review and optimize surface chemical variance reports and water quality
  • Monitor residue gas usage and gas sales of leases
  • Skim Water tanks
  • Conduct HES Audits on Facilities on a routine basis
  • Know the condition and status of equipment and show "ownership" of the equipment
  • Maintain VRU's, Reduce Flaring events (Expected to know how long before a flaring event becomes reportable to the TCEQ)
  • Notify Regulatory personnel ASAP or at least within 24 hrs of the time a flaring event starts

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent, some college or technical training preferred
  • 3 years oil and gas industry experience preferred
  • Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record
  • Strong initiative and self-starter
  • Multi-task orientation with skills related to work prioritization
  • Working knowledge of oil and gas production operations preferred, but will train acceptable candidate
  • Understanding of importance of environmental and safe work practices
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as by self without direct supervision
  • Technical skills related to math and analytical processes
  • Proficiency in the use of personal computer utilizing a windows environment
  • Ability to keep neat and accurate records
  • General mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills
  • Ability to identify operational inefficiencies
  • Understanding of Business fundamentals
  • Ability to implement cost effective solutions
