A group company within NTT DATA currently seeks a Senior Java/J2EE Project Lead to join our team in Bloomington, Illinois.

Position Functions or Responsibilities: NTT DATA seeks a Strong Java/J2EE Project Lead with a solid understanding of the principals of object oriented design to lead the custom application development for a key client project. In addition to possessing strong Java development skills, the person chosen for this role must also have excellent written and verbal communications skills and a deep understanding of software engineering best practices (design, testing, code quality & security). The person filling this role will be expected to bring an aptitude for translating technical information into commonly understood terms and an ability to manage multiple work efforts simultaneously. Must also have deep understanding of unit testing methodologies and comprehension of unit testing.

Responsibilities & Skills for this position includes:
  • Previous project lead experience
  • Java EE and Web Technology development experience
  • J2EE
  • HP Service Manager
  • Enterprise System Status (EES)
  • Test Link/Trac experience (or similar)
  • Formal test methodology experience
  • Service Management (Incident/Problem/Change/Configuration Management)
  • Application Knowledge Library (AKL)
  • Cloud Management Portal experience
  • WASM (WebSphere Application Maintenance for J2EE)
  • Data Studio
  • RSA/Eclipse based IDEs
  • Tortoise SVN
Other Key Skills for this role include:
  • Exceptional verbal and written communications skills (English)
  • Teamwork, can work creatively with team members to develop new solutions
  • Outstanding problem solving abilities
  • A willingness to learn new techniques, concepts and approaches to customer application development
  • Self starter with a personal drive and initiative to continue to develop professionally
