Our client is looking to offer a new service focused on Downstream Processing and together we are looking for an experienced and highly capable Senior Scientist to lead the delivery of their vision of this new service.|
Proven experience in DSP - gained with industry. Capabilities to manage complex projects.
The Senior Scientist will lead large process development project in upstream and downstream for a range of pharma/biotech customers. This position requires a highly-skilled Scientist with a good organisation skills and strong analytical capabilities, with excellent communication skills. This person will be a key contact for interaction with customer and DSP/USP. Primary Responsibilities: - Being a project manager of process development projects. - Coordinate process development projects between customers and DSP/USP Labs. - Manage all operations of process development projects: raw material, equipment, resources, etc. - Following up projects efficiency: documentation and technical aspects, respects of deadlines, milestones and reach deliverables. - Lead process development and scale-up projects for customers in order to implement new technology to their site: being in charge of experimental plans and process transfers from/to customer. - Maintain contact and ensure follow up on all customer projects. - Communicate reports during technical and scientific meetings and to the Steering Committee. Education/Experience: - Master’s degree in Applied Biology, Biochemistry or Biotechnology Engineer. - Significant relevant industry experience. - Clear and proven expertise in Downstream Processing - experience gained with the biopharmaceutical sector. - Experience leading large process development projects. - Project management experience. - Experience of Upstream Processing and bioreactor technology would be advantageous. To be successful in this position you will need: - Excellent organization of time and ability to prioritize to meet tight deadlines. - Strong problem solving, analytical and synthetically capabilities. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to develop relationships with customers and act as a technical consultant. - Work autonomously. - Ability to travel up to 15%.
