We are looking for a dynamic Senior Project Manager who can combine leading significant commissions with projects alongside building new and existing client relationships within the corporate real estate realm for financial services institutions.

The Job
The role will be to lead client facing programme management capability in the Corporate Real Estate divisions (CRES) of leading global Financial Services Institutions.
The successful applicant must have:
· Experience in capital planning, for project execution, for global Financial Services clients with large real estate portfolios,
· An understanding of the governance and control processes and procedures typical of a financial services CRES function
· Demonstrable ability to engage with teams that typically make up a CRES function
· Track record in interacting with senior management, client side
· As a base skill, have the applied rigour and work ethic that is expected by high performing financial services clients
· An ability to provide project governance controls for a typical client who has a buildings portfolio under management of – 4000+ buildings, in over 50+ countries and a global spend of £1.5bn+, with capital spend in excess of £400m
· An ability to deliver a sense of partnership across all CRES functions
· An ability to develop an overarching controls strategy region to region
· An ability to identify commercial risks and opportunities
· An enthusiasm for career development, not only for themselves, but be passionate about developing talent within a team, and provides regular feedback and coaching
· Has a technical knowledge and experience, with broad, comprehensive knowledge of industry / broader external market theories and practices in the financial services sector
· Has a knowledge of how a CRES function integrates with the business units/Group to achieve overall business objectives
· Has an adaptable leadership style and is open to trying out new strategic approaches – providing key support and momentum for change
· Fronts change positively to colleagues, understanding both benefits and potential implications
Essential Skills and Knowledge
· Experience working with or within commercial property client organisations at a senior decision making/strategic level including for example corporate occupiers (including Financial Institutions), Developers, Investors
Professional/Technical Experience
· The successful candidate will have significant demonstrable experience covering financial and business governance control, including performance reporting.
· The candidate will have prior experience gained within the Financial Services industry over a complex, global, multi-business with experience in the design and delivery of operating model change in the field of Corporate Real Estate
Managerial/Leadership Experience
· The successful candidate will have strong people management and leadership skills and have had specific experience working in a matrix management model where influencing, challenging and negotiating skills have been highly leveraged. The role holder will have proven ability to effectively build capability in teams, with the ability to negotiate in a sphere of influence at a senior level
· Prevents conflicts from occurring, sets and implements the stakeholder management strategy
· Maintains excellent relations with all project participants and is the client’s trusted advisor
· Ensures line manager is kept informed about key issues
Academic and Professional Qualifications
· The successful candidate should be educated to a Degree / diploma level, ideally with a proven track record of personal and professional achievements
· A demonstrated enthusiasm for ongoing learning and innovation including links to outside bodies
Language and Numeric
· The right candidate will have excellent written and oral communication skills, strong attention to detail, high levels of numeracy, and an analytical mind set will be a given

· The right candidate will be action-orientated with a focus on continuous improvement in all areas of responsibility. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, innovative with the ability to deliver quality results with a challenging but positive and influential style
