BAE Systems require a Project Controller to support the collation, updating and analysis of business data using project control processes for projects within Combat Systems. This contracting role is based at the Frimley site.

Good knowledge of project management principles (APM Certified desirable).

The Job
This role requires the hands-on use of a range of business systems and Project Control toolsets in support of one of more Control Account Managers.
Major Tasks and Activities:
NA schedules, baseline and forecasts, are accurately maintained and updated in accordance with the business reporting cycle.
NA the Forward load system is maintained to ensure consistency with the projects’ requirements.
NA the Risk and Opportunities process including generation of risk reports and schedule & cost risk analysis.
NA the Control Account Manager (CAM) Review process including analysis of metrics including Earned Value (EV) data.
NA reporting suite for contract review meetings in accordance with the reporting cycle.
NA customer reports.
Additional responsibilities include:
NA contracted requirements into a complete and coherent schedule of work, using work and organisational breakdown structures (WBS/OBS) producing work package definitions, resource plans, and associated documentation.
NA appropriate task and budget flow down enabling the monitoring of achievement both within the project team and for external providers.
NA the project’s requirements are formally captured and configured including the means to record and manage head and sub contract alignment.
NA to all Project management and controls procedures and processes.
The Individual
Key Technical Skills
- The candidate will need good knowledge of project management practices and processes including Planning, cost control, earned value management and risk and opportunity management, with the ability to analyse and present data allowing informed decision making.
- PC literate with good working knowledge of the MS Office suite (particularly MS Excel) and a sound knowledge of planning toolsets MS Project. (Primavera P6 would also be desirable)
- There are also additional activities to support project initiatives providing scope for extra responsibilities & learning opportunities. in support of the areas Control Account Manager and the Project Management Office.
Key Mental/Analytical Skills and Challenges
NA attention to detail with strong organisation skills.
NA knowledge of Earned Value principles.
NA knowledge of scheduling, project tracking, critical path analysis, baseline and change management.
NA of risk and opportunity management including both schedule and cost risk analysis.
NA to work under pressure & deliver outputs in tight timescales.
NA the principles of bid and estimating processes.
Qualifications & Skills:
