AECOM's Civil Infrastructure team in Mackay is looking for an experienced Technical Officer / Senior Technical Officer (Civil Designer) to join our transport team. As part of this role, you will provide design input and technical support in the production of engineering drawings and documentation. You will actively participate in, and contribute to, all technical aspects of small to major road projects encompassing alignment, geometry, drainage and intersection designs. You will assist in the management of small to medium sized infrastructure projects including quality, time and financial control.
This position is ideal for a seasoned professional who is looking for the next step in their career - to join a team which supports and values personal and professional development. As part of this role, you will work with industry specialists and be involved in contributing to building a successful business.
You will have a minimum of 5 years' experience working within the consulting environment on a combination of highway, rural and urban road design. You will have strong knowledge of Australian Standards and previous Department of Transport and Main Roads and Local Authority experience.
We are looking for a highly driven professional with a strong client-centric approach, focused on delivering above expected outcomes. You will be confident in your ability to lead and motivate small project teams and relish in the opportunity to mentor and impart knowledge with junior staff.
• Recognised Civil Engineer qualification (eg. Associate Degree, Bachelor of Engineering Technology, or equivalent)
• Full capability in computer design packages (AutoCAD, 12D)
