Our Renewable Energy client are looking for a Maintenance Technician with Wind experience to be based from their office in Kent to cover projects in the South East of England.|
Renewable Energy Experience
Our client have long-term maintenance contracts for 14 wind farms, comprising 297 turbines of varying size, age and technology across the UK serving 3 key clients. The turbines are maintained by teams of locally based directly employed technicians and a back office/management team.
Main purpose of Job:
A role on behalf of Maintenance and Monitoring Services to join an existing and experienced team of technicians at a depot in Kent to become a valued member of the team to adhere to existing policies and procedures & WTSR’s, safe system of work to be involved in major component work, as well as scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, fault finding, modifications and improvements. Supporting and reporting to the lead technician, carrying out any delegated duties with diligence. Prioritising site-based activity to meet contractual availability and production based targets. Ensure company works management systems are accurately used and maintained, including timely close-out of jobs and accurate record keeping.
Assisting the lead technician and team in the annual service programme. Pro-active and re-active minded. Ensuring SAP and Prism is kept up to date (training will be provided). Weekly vehicle checks and ensuring maintenance schedule adhered to. Adhering to work planning instruction provided by the lead technician. Develop a strong working relationship with the team. Ensuring and contributing to a safe place of work. Carrying out client modification and CI improvements to instruction.
Skills & Experience Required:
Preferably educated to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in mechanical and/or electrical discipline. Previous experience advantageous but not essential, training will be provided. Previous experience with the Nordex fleet advantageous but not essential Practical, hands-on problem solver, flexible, patient Possess good communication and interpersonal skills, and able to communicate with staff at all levels within the business. IT literate Well organised, self-motivated with the ability to work independently, prioritise work and meet deliverable and work under time pressure. Will be prepared to travel and stay away overnight, in order to attend sites elsewhere in the business, when required.
