Fire Sprinkler Project Manager

About the role
We are currently looking for a talented Fire Sprinkler Project Manager to join our Edmonton team.

The Project Manager is responsible for managing and coordinating specific sprinkler building projects. This includes creating project schedules, generating RFI's and generating/tracking change orders. The project manager also directs, coordinates and facilitates multiple jobs at one time and coordinates in collaboration with the operations manager, project coordinator, technicians, installers, designers and sales team.
  • Work with a team of Coordinators and Field Technicians to meet project milestones and budget expectations
  • Manage, coordinate and facilitate multiple discipline projects from conception through final delivery to end user
  • Provide strategic, expert advice and consultation, delivery and completion to subcontractors, general contractors, end users, and internal employees
  • Process change orders and coordinate changes with the sales and design department
  • Coordinate project schedules with Operations Manager
  • Maintain project schedules to execute contract obligations, within time and budget
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Who we’re looking for
  • 5 years large construction and project management experience with high end complex construction projects
  • Knowledge of Project Manager Principles, practices, techniques and tools required
  • Project scheduling software (MS Project, Primavera, Suretrac) required
  • PMP certification and Bachelor's degree (preferably Construction Management or related field) considered an asset
  • Ability to analyze complex problems, interpret operational needs, and develop integrated and creative solutions.
  • Ability to assist in developing project budgets, projections and construction schedules
  • Experience with fire sprinklers or mechanical installations is considered an asset
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong computer and related software application skills
  • Valid driver's license, good driving record and able to pass a background check
