MWH Treatment is looking to strengthen their operations team in the Anglian Water framework with a Delivery Engineer. You will be responsible for supporting the PDM, PCM & Planner in successful delivery of projects from asset planning to asset operation. To deliver these by complying with Alliance Governance and processes specifically; Project Management, Health & Safety, Commercial, Risk & Value, Budget. You will report directly to the Integrated Project Leader and duties/responsibilities of the role will include.

• Coordinate and manage the contract requirements relating to design solutions, construction and commissioning. Collaborate with the Technical Manager as per the delivery strategy to ensure excellence in Health and Safety in design. Ensure the CDMC is advised at the start of design and agree the CDM strategy for the review of PCI, DRA, construction drawings & any other relevant information for the project.
• Deliver assigned responsibilities in accordance with Plan for Stage
• Apply sustainability principles; work collaboratively. Find the best solutions to meet the Alliance CR&S targets - sustainability in design & construction, minimisation of the energy use, carbon emissions, waste materials reduction & the supply chain
• Apply production management on all projects. Work with the production managers and site teams to reduce waste and minimise carbon - through materials, time and ways of working
• Report all scope changes and ensure that the change control process and technical query process are adhered to
• Ensure effective communication/interfaces with supply chain & IProcT
• Work with the Enabling team to ensure that all relevant enabling activities are undertaken in a timely and cost-effective manner
• Support change control and early warning process
• Maintain stakeholder involvement in key decisions & provide high quality customer service and satisfaction
• Identify and where appropriate manage specific risk & opportunities
• Encourage an environment of continuous improvement. Support the PDM to maintain team energy and focus when work is difficult and results hard to achieve
• Maintain excellent communications with the PDM & Design & Site teams. Recognise and report key issues before they become problems
• Work with the Planner, design & site teams to update the programme as required
• Continuously manage the expectations of the customer to ensure a seamless transition of asset ownership
• Support effective and efficient close out of all projects to meet the clients requirements and enable final accounts completion
• Support the PCM in development and subsequent management of subcontracts
• Provide information as required to the PCM to ensure robust cost management is undertaken
• Support the PCM in ensuring that proper records are kept so that all financial information for audits and cost assurance is readily available
• Provide information to the planner to support creation and maintenance of a single programme to represent all projects, supported by a single source of information for each project


• Basic engineering background
• Working knowledge of various conditions of contract especially NEC
• Engineering/ Technical qualification (HNC minimum) required
• Experience of supply chain expedition
• Knowledge of water and waste water treatment processes
• CDM & Health & Safety knowledge

• Relevant professional qualification an advantage
• Collaborative approach
• Knowledge of production based delivery opposed to traditional construction.
