General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for a Mid-Level PLC Designer to join our team. The position provides an opportunity to develop the cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nation's fundamental defense services. GDMS employees work closely with esteemed clients to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions. The selected candidate will work with collaborative teams to build and ensure adequate functionality of various GDMS-and client technologies. The Mid-Level PLC Designer will support the design, development and test of PLC systems at GDMS that are required to support our various customers' missions.
Candidates must have experience working with Allen-Bradley CompactLogix PLCs and RSLogix5000 software.
The Mid-Level PLC Designer position requires a bachelor's degree in the Electrical or Computer Engineering field or the equivalent and at least three to five years of related work experience. Applicants with a master's degree and a minimum of zero to two years of related experience are also eligible.
Department of Defense SECRET security clearance is within 6 months of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
