General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for a Planning and Material Control Specialist to join our team. The position provides an opportunity to coordinate the production of key materials that support some of our nation's fundamental defense services. General Dynamics Mission Systems employees work closely with esteemed clients to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions.
The selected candidate will work with collaborative teams to coordinate and schedule the production of materials for General Dynamics Mission Systems. To support the production and delivery requirements for programs, Planning and Material Control Specialists plan, schedule and coordinate materials including raw resources, purchase parts, in-process and contract end item materials. These employees also develop detailed schedules, material requirement plans, production plans and capacity plans. In addition, these Specialists track the status of material inventories and shortages.
Candidates should demonstrate sophisticated problem solving skills, strong organizational skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
The Planning and Material Control Specialist must have either a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Business Management, or Management or in a related specialty or the equivalent, and zero to two years of related experience, or a master's degree in Business Administration, Business Management, or Management a related specialty or the equivalent.
Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
