Reporting to Pieter VanDine, VIRGINIA Design Program Representative. A VIRGINIA Class Design Development Program Representative is required to conduct day to day activities in management of the VIRGINIA Design Development vendor funding.

Two positions are open for the following specific areas:
• Non Core Task Program Office Lead - Manage the non core tasks funded under lead yard services by the Navy. Tasking relates to many areas of the Virginia Class design.
• Program Representative for special emphasis tasks - Manage the task leads for large complex non core tasks such as reconstitution of SOF on the VIRGINIA Class submarine

Job responsibilities will include the following:
• Task Management - Help manage the execution of VIRGINIA Class tasks by design and engineering, including use of ARTEMIS schedules, Financial data and earned value management system
• Maintain a highly functional, interdisciplinary task team that adheres to quality, cost, and schedule requirements
• Serve as a mentor to team members on the project management process
• Ensure products are developed with the highest level of quality, to ensure the tasks are completely and correctly accomplished
• Develop program briefing packages and metrics and status for tasking
• Regular interaction with other EB departments and EB upper management as well as the Navy customer
• Preparation of Design Review Information and coordination of meetings to demonstrate progress, challenges and resolution plans for tasking
• Preparation and review of documents to the Navy customer
• Present status briefs to Navy, SOSG and Electric Boat Management
• Work with technical and support departments to identify problems and develop corrective action plans, as required
• Maintain highest levels of customer satisfaction

Well-developed interpersonal skills, communication skills and project management skills are required. Candidate must be a self-starter who can pay attention to details. Strong oral and written skills are needed as well as organizational and planning skills and must have the capability to write clearly and concisely. Must have the ability to communicate with the utmost professionalism. Experience on Submarine design and Navy experience on submarines are a highly desired capability. Project management and team leadership experience is a plus. The desire to learn, grow and lead will be a discriminator.
