I am looking for a Project Manager to be based in South East London working on a new build office block over 14 floors. It's paying up to £90,000 plus package which includes a car allowance up to £6500, all travel paid to site, pension and private health care. |
The project is a huge redevelopment of a town centre that includes 140 residential units, grade II listed government building and this office block. In total the value of the project is approaching £200 million.
The office block was valued at around £40 million and is due to start in March. The client want a stand alone Project Manager to run this project as if it was on its own. There is a project director but the successful candidate will have decisions on the programme, planning, design inputs and also get involved in recruiting the team.
Other duties will include:
* Full Health & Safety on site
* All Pre-Construction
* Appointing and managing the sub-contractors
* Site Set-up
* Monthly meetings with the Client
* Progress reports with the Project Director on a weekly basis
This is a very important job for this client as it's the largest they have ever done, if this project goes well they will be setting up a new division looking after large jobs.
The client are a huge main contractor who are established in this country with a turnover of over £2 billion, they cover a range of sectors. However as stated above this is the first major project they are doing and the reason they are looking at employing a new team.
I feel this is an ideal opportunity for somebody who is looking for a step up project wise or someone who is a current PM in a similar contractor or developer that wants to be part of setting up a new division.
If this opportunity sounds of interest please call Ricky in the London office or email me your CV.
