Due to continuing growth we are seeking a Intermediate Air and Noise Engineer to join our Alberta Air and Noise Quality team, based out of our Edmonton Office.

Your Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Perform full cycle project management and coordination of air quality projects including field work
  • Preparation of environmental approval applications and technical reports
  • Conduct air dispersion modelling using AERMOD and other atmospheric dispersion models
  • Perform field work including stack testing (i.e. air and noise monitoring, etc.)
  • Evaluate and conduct air emissions calculations
  • Conduct GHG emissions quantifications and verification projects
  • Liaison with clients and regulatory agencies
  • Assist with business development opportunities including proposal preparation and client meetings

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Applied Science or Engineering in Chemical and/or Environmental
  • 5 years of work experience
  • 5 years of full cycle project management experience
  • Knowledgeable and experienced in air and noise regulations in Alberta would be an asset
  • Written and verbal communication skills are essential to this position. Strong emphasis will be placed on your ability to communicate well with others and engage in technical conversations
  • Ability to prepare technical reports and proposals to meet client and regulatory requirements
  • Attention to detail along with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to complete work under tight deadlines
  • Works well independently as well as a part of a team
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite
  • Willingness to travel to various job sites within and outside of Alberta
  • Willingness to work outside of regular work hours to complete projects or field work
  • Experience in conducting air and noise testing would be in asset
  • No aversion to heights and high noise areas
