Our client is highly regarded for their bespoke offering to the biopharmaceutical sector and currently looking to expand their R&D Applications Team. We have an exciting opportunity for an R&D Scientist to join the team on a permanent basis.

The Job
The team are responsible for testing products to validate performance claims so this is a highly experimental, hands-on and laboratory-based role which supports new product development and client support. Key Responsibilities: - Progress projects relating to the design, development, manufacture, validation, documentation, sale, application and maintenance of Life Science Products. - Ensure projects are carried out and products are produced in accordance with good manufacturing practice (GMP), safety guidelines and current legislation, and meet customer and market requirements. - Maintain project plans and records and report progress on the projects undertaken. - Ensure product developed is fit for purpose and of good quality, validated and capable of manufacture. - Carry out experimental work to ensure the suitability of Pall R&D products for the proposed market. - Create and maintain high quality records of all experimental work carried out. - To be a champion for 5S/lean processes in the laboratory. Candidate Requirements: - Degree in chemistry or biochemistry, or chemical/biochemical engineering. - Post degree industrial experience: within a biopharmaceutical manufacturing company/product testing would be ideal. - Demonstrated skill in scientific principles and experimental design. - Data analysis and problem solving skills an knowledge of Basic Statistics. - Understanding of biological polymers (Proteins, DNA etc.) and their purification and behaviour. - Self motivated and capable of working and managing own time - able to conduct technical tasks and projects with minimal supervision. - Excellent communication.
