Our client is looking to take on a Water Network Specialist to join their engineering support team based in Southampton.|
Sound technical background and knowledge and experience of working in water distribution network management
Be a central point of contact for technical issues relating to pressure management and water network optimisation.
Respond to technical queries in relation to installation / system issues.
Identify operational problems by observing and studying system functioning and performance results; investigating complaints and suggestions; interviewing process supervisors and operators; completing troubleshooting procedures.
Carry out remote analysis support, diagnosis and recommendations of onsite system/network performance issues.
Preparation of reports and guidance notes for use by Clients and their agents.
Diligently use support ticketing system to record and report on all activities.
Report product quality issues to the Engineering teams and assist them in developing appropriate resolutions.
Provide site-based support for client on installation and commissioning of systems when required. Carry out site-based troubleshooting, diagnosis and recommendations of system performance issues when required.
Prepare and present training courses for both office and site based personnel on pressure management, data logging and condition monitoring solutions.
Carry out site-based training / hand hold installation and commissioning with clients.
Perform site-based / rig-based technical training and technical assessments to identify system issues and fault finding.
Occasional "out of hours" working may be required to complete specific tasks.
Degree, HND or similar in a relevant engineering discipline.
Sound technical background and knowledge and experience of working in water distribution network management, including flowmeters, PRVs and pumps.
Experience or water pressure management systems would be an advantage.
Willingness and ability to travel to client sites for meetings, work flexible working hours Practical and pragmatic, able to communicate effectively at all levels from technicians to senior managers.
Ability to use their own initiative and draw on assistance from within the company.
Methodical and accurate.
Great problem solver and able to carry out diagnostic investigations.
Quick to identify key issues and priorities, and make practical and balanced decisions.
Solid working knowledge of current IT and communication technologies.
Team Player and good communicator.
Strong Excel skills.
