Our client is currently looking for Area Asset Plan Managers, there are 3 regions (Hampshire, Sussex and Kent) that each require an Asset Plan Manager to manage. As Area Asset Plan Manager, you will develop and take ownership of the long term (25 year) water supply asset plan and the area water supply assets for your area, each area serving approximately 600,000 customers. You will be one of three Area Asset Plan managers required to cover one of the regions, location can be quite flexible. |
Must have asset management and strategy experience
You will act as a sponsor for both short (in AMP) and long term programmes of work to meet the plan.
You will work on the integrated benefits plan to balance Capital Maintenance, WRMP and quality drivers, considering TotEx regulatory opportunity.
You will need to link the benefits plan to be able demonstrate management of risk against drinking water safety plans and relevant Outcomes.
You will run the asset management process utilising risk based tools such as ARM and chair District Meetings to engage key stakeholders. You will take ownership of the development and management of the Integrated Plan for asset management for your area. This means taking a balanced view of the right solutions to be implemented, be these changes to the operating or maintenance plans or making investment choices.
Building solid relationships with the other members of the area team will be essential to a successful outcome in both developing and implementing the asset management strategy. Key relationships in this respect will be with the newly developed Engineering and construction team as well as working closely with a diverse team in the operations directorate.
You will provide key information and support to the Regional Asset Plan Manager promoting your asset requirements for business support, alongside your other area plan manager colleagues, to promote a overarching regional plan mapped to meeting Southern Water’s promises to their customers.
