Provide analytical research services as a member of the Customer Support team in a high volume AP operation. Maintain high level of customer satisfaction through quality service. Work cross functionally and/or with Supply Chain Finance, Cummins Entities, and Supplier base to ensure timely payments in accordance with SLA agreements.

Typical Duties and Tasks:

  • Partner with entities to research and resolve all electronic and manual invoice processing rejects from Oracle CORE and BOLT Financial AP system.
  • Identify root cause analysis of payables processing errors and suggests process improvements
  • Perform complex research/analysis and statement reviews as required to resolve supplier account discrepancies
  • Provide guidance and training to less experienced team members and others within the organization
  • Participates in projects related to A/P improvement
  • Perform Customer Service responsibilities for a range of suppliers
  • Provide support to Cummins Entities, Supply Chain Finance and Suppliers for all supplier invoicing issues
  • Test data elements on new EDI Suppliers
  • Perform other duties as assigned or requested


  • Strong knowledge of AP/Purchasing methodology and basic accounting principles
  • Strong analytical skills and demonstrated decision making and problem solving ability
  • Knowledge of Oracle Financial AP Systems: CORE 11i, BOLT R12 and Ariba Supplier Network
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, work with deadlines and respond quickly to change
  • Strong Customer Focus with excellent interpersonal and written & oral communication skills
  • Ability to build & foster a positive, collaborative team environment Dedicated to process improvement
  • Demonstrated proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, & Outlook
Education/Experience: High School Diploma (GED) and
5 years AP experience or Associate's Degree in Business or related field & and 2 years AP experience or Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field

Compensation: Base salary commensurate with experience,
